Surgery is complete

All done - the surgeon said this elbow was really inflamed and really needed to be done...trying to type with my good hand and elevate the bad one....

The best part was they put a bracelet on my wrist regarding my walnut allergy that just said "nuts" on it. The nurse said, "oh, you too?" I laughed and said nuttier than a fruitcake...:biggrin2:

Humor is alive and well!

The nerve block is wearing off - the sensation of touching my electric fence is going through my fingers so I hope the drugs kick in shortly. It is supposed to snow later...great place to be in on my sofa watching the snow.

Went to check on the horses who left a very angry Saoirse alone in the barn where she could not see them... I brought Weatherly in with some hay (can do that one handed) and Nefertiti decided to come in as well and Weatherly tried to pin her against the wall and kick her... what goes around, comes around - Weatherly tried to chase Nefertiti out the door and when she tossed her head up in triumph, she whacked it on the door frame. Touche, Weatherly!

Started to snow a bit here today, then it went back to raining.

No snow here but it looks threatening... next couple of days is supposed to be rain and snow mix...

Was able to call my boss and run through things we needed to finish out the week...

I love the stuff - there is a big sign at my work desk that says "I love snow days" and have a picture of Snow Miser on my work computer... I am a cold weather person, especially since I am the hot flash queen these days and have my own personal power surges.

Nap time did not last - nerve block is gone and I have some serious pain going on, even with the drugs they gave me to manage it. Oh well, that is a good sign I am healing!

Not a good night for me - the pain meds are not working... calling the doc shortly to see what he wants to do.

If I can manage I am going to bring Juno in for some turn out time... nothing like the healing powers of rabbits...
