My rhinelander girl is living outside and it has been raining very hard with lots of thunder she is on a sheltered patio and her cage gets covered at night to try and calm her down but the thunder still scares her I have tried lavender tea in her water because I've read that it's a mild tranquilizer but she still gets quite agitated when the clouds roll in is there anything I could do to calm her down at night I give her blankets and food and everything so she is comfortable any help would be really appreciated

I'm not sure what your hutch is set up like but - are the spaces the bunnies in large? If so a upside down box a few inches larger than the rabbit with entrance and exit hole so she can feel like she has a really good hidey hole where no one can see her.

When my bunny gets scared because of loud sounds I usually offer a couple of healthy treats. I've been finding that it's a good positive association and it seems to take the edge off a bit. I also stroke her fur between her eyes. There have been a lot of loud sounds at my house lately because we are doing renos.
