Straw bedding?

I put straw in her hutch to help keep her warm at night as she won't sleep in the bedroom area of her hutch as she uses it as a toilet! She is now eating the straw and leaving the hay, is this safe for her? Any tips on moving her into the bedroom area would be very helpful too!! we made the mistake of putting her litter tray in there and even if we move it out she still goes in the same place!

I would suggest leaving the litter tray where she likes to go. Top it with lots of hay, and let her sleep in there. If the litter is topped with lots of hay, the refuse will sink to the bottom and she will be dry on top.
Straw has no nutrition.
