I was sweeping my bedroom today and came across a few of Truffle's droppings. They looked kind of strange, almost like rat poop. Any idea as to what's going on?

Do you mean oblong or kind of football shaped? Is this something new or has it been like this before? Have you given her anything new to eat or changed her diet at all? Also, what kind of rabbit is she? What is her coloring like?

It's kind of shaped like a crescent roll. I've been slowly changing his diet over from the dollar store feed his previous owner gave him to kaytee forti-diet and I introduced him to romaine lettuce, but that's it. He's an American sable, about a year old.

Stop the lettuce and see if that makes a difference and if the poops go back to normal. If that doesn't fix it, then try cutting back on the new food a little and see if that works. If it does, you may just need to do the switch to the new food, a lot slower.

I thought I did attach a picture, but I'm on my phone so it may not have gone through. I'll stop the lettuce though, and I've been giving him 25% new food 75% old food, so if the lettuce doesn't solve it I'll try 15% new food instead.

Faith had those a bit when she first came to us, even though we had her on the same food. Keep an eye on him for a little bit, and if he seems otherwise fine, you don't need to worry.

Yeah, try the cutting back on the new food. You should be able to tell if it's helping within a day or two. If not cut out the new food entirely and see if that helps, but don't increase the amount of the old food right away. If that fixes it, then you'll want to find a different food to transition to, or if you try this food again you will want to do the transition really slow, like over 2-3 weeks, maybe slower if you need to. If it's not the food, or your rabbits condition worsens, it may be parasites or bacteria causing the problem, and you'll need to go to the vet. What other veggies or treats do you feed your bun? They could possibly cause the problem too.

I wouldn't introduce anything new until you get this all sorted out.
