Ok so I finally got my storage unit. Its a room in a building that has no A/C. There is a door and it is locked and it is in a huge plastic tote.

But with the summer heat hitting over most likely 120 in that room. Will the hay be ok a Bale last me about 6 months if I have to buy one sooner I do not mind. At 10 bucks a bale I could buy a new one every month of I had to. I have a tote to bring in some every 4 days. So it will be used but will the heat ruin it?

No water can get it and the Rubbermaid ben I leave the top off. Up to this point I have stored it inside.

I store my hay in the garage. It gets into the high 90's during the summer and I haven't had a problem yet. I can't comment on 120 degree temps though.

I also store my hay in the garage, and the humidity is high, but it doesn't get to nearly 120 degrees so I can't comment on that part.

good question for horse people...but im not sure personally.

keepin it sealed isnt good, though it it? i always thohught it made it stale quicker

I would be concerned about the hay combusting at such high temps...
I just googled "hay combustion" and it depends on the moisture content of the bale, so you probably have nothing to worry about, lol. Interesting to read about none the less, who knew there was so much to baling hay?
