Sticky mucous covered droppings

My sweet rabbit was having GI stasis. I put him on Metacam and was massaging his stomach about 4x a day. He finally started getting better. Then his upper lip got bit and ripped open by another rabbit. It was hanging so I took him to vet for stitches. Vet put him on Cipro for surgery and post surgery. I voiced my concerns of this affecting him negatively due to just coming out of stasis. 5 days post surgery. He has been deteriorating significantly. He ate a lot post surgery. Now hardly eats. Has mushy mucous covered poop. Very weak. Won't even move to get out of his urine. Urine soaked butt and feet. Inflamed anus. Can feel hardness in lower gut. His stomach was making a lot of noise for 2 days. Now not so much.
Rx-
Took him off Cipro after day 2
Massage stomach at least 4x a day
Access to water, fresh veggies, hay, pellets
Using Metacam and simethicone
Just added Bene-bac

Your rabbits condition sounds extremely serious and he really needs to be seen by a rabbit savvy vet immediately. It's possible the antibiotics have caused antibiotic induced bacterial enteritis. Depending on the bacteria involved, this can possibly prove fatal if not treated quickly and appropriately with the proper medications. If the bacteria clostridium sp. is involved this needs immediate treatment with the abx metronidazole and possibly questran to bind the toxins released by the bacteria. This really can be a life threatening condition and treatment should not be delayed for even a minute.

Cipro is a strong antibiotic and could easily have affected his digestive system, even in a rabbit who didn't just go thru stasis. I agree that he needs to get to a vet asap.
