HELP!Please!:)

Fintan is a Junior Buck (under 6 months old) Has he been tattooed? Put his ear number in the first column. Breed is Californian, Variety is color, circle JR for junior, Circle BK for Buck. It's $3.00 for each class you show him in (Open/Youth) and $1.00 if you want to show him in a Fur class.

Fill out the top with all your info... fill out the bottom if you want Admission tickets, etc. and sent it in......

If he hasn't been tattooed, he will need to be. (Do you know anyone that can do it for you?) Don't worry, it's pretty straight forward once you know where everything goes...

Edited because I can't spell!!!!!

I am going to ask around to see if anyone can help with the tatoos. You can choose the number you tatoo them right???? And Thanks BlueGaints. If anyones else has any tips that would be great.

Are there any 4-H breeders in your area that can help with tattooing? You only need one letter or number! LOL! Keep it to 5 digits or less... If you use a clamp style tattoo set, that's the most charactersit can hold. :)

I think there are some about 25 min away. Would that be stressful for Fintan to drive there and back and beign tatooed in the mists of it?

I think he should handle it fine. Put him in a carrier, give him some hay, (no water bottle while traveling! You can give him water when you get there, and when you get home.) My rabbits go to shows 5-6 hours away with no problems.

Don't you have to qualify for your state fair? Like, go to the county fair and then qualify? I know that's what we have to do here, but I'm not sure about where you're at.

Anyway, he'll be fine if you take him to get his ear tattooed. Just give him plenty of hay so he doesn't get stressed out.

BlueGiants, why no water bottle while travelling? Does something happen?:?I always give mine water while travelling, well it's available to them.

I don't like having a water bottle sticking into the carrier while driving. Heaven forbid you have to make a fast stop or swerve to avoid something, the poor rabbit has this metal tube sticking right out, usuallyat eye level. I know of a Palomino that ended up blind in one eye because he got pushed into a water bottle spout .

Also, on bumpy roads and such, bowls and some water bottles leak, so the poor rabbit is sitting in wet hay or on a wet floor. If the trip is going to be long (more than 3-4 hours), I'll plan water stops and give everyone a bowl of water. But bowls get collected and dumped before we drive again. The rabbits seem to do just fine with this. I've neverhad problems.

My giantstravel on a bed of straw (to protect their feet) and have hay to munch on. Ialso give them pieces of carrot or apple. They love going in their carriers!

Oh okay, I see. I've never heard of water bottles going into their eyes, but it does seem possible and that would be awful! Usually the shows we go to are -at the most-, only an hour away, so I'm sure they'd be fine.

Dublinperky, don't you live close to Goinbacktocali? Do you live in the same county? If so, then she would probably know, otherwise, you could probably do a google search and see if there is a county fair. Also, you could always contact the state fair office or whatnot and ask them.
