It seems every time I come to these boards I have something bad to share rather than something good =(

Apparently Spots got horribly frightened today when my sister wasshaking a sunflower seed bottle. He ran top speed around the kitchenand it looked like his leg was going to fall off. Since we havehardwood flooring, it was kinda slippery and he slammed very hard intoone of the walls and we think he hit his head as well.

So we let him calm down a bit and he goes in his cage. A bit later wenoticed that he was acting funny - he didn't urinate or go poop in hiscorner like he usually does, so his whole cage is filled with poopdroplets right now. He eats and drinks so I'm sure it's not a virus oranything like that.

His droppings aren't abnormal either - same size/color.
What I did notice though was when he was drinking water he had astrange gurgling noise coming from his stomach. Donno what that's allabout because he ate a lot when we refilled his food bowl tonight.

Finally, he's quite tired and it seems that he doesn't know who we are.I came up with some sort of thing went wrong with his memory, but Ihave no clue.

Help is appreciated =)

Sounds like something mayhave gotten hurt bad , definatesigns of concussion I would get him looked at atthe earliest possible time , keep aclose eye on him , Is there an emergencyvet clinic near you you could get himlooked at tonght ?

I think earliest will be Thursday :( MAYBE tomorrow.
Is this something that will horribly damage his life? I mean...he's eating and drinking.

Sometimes he'll also go eat his cardboard scraps that cover his cage floor =(

It's impossible to guess what the long-term effects will be. Just get him to the vet asap.

Thing is, my parents almost never believe therabbit is sick and in need of help when we give them solid evidence. Idonno why =/

*Sigh*

Apollo did something similar and gavehimself a concussion. He needs to be seen by a vet asap. His brain isbruised and can continue swelling for a few days. If it is aconcussion then you need to convince your parents It Is Serious.

So many things are going on with a concussion. And sadly it canget ugly. I am really not trying to scare you needlessly as I am sureyou are pretty upset about this as I was. Watch him closely for signsof seizures.

Apollo was not fully himself for about a month and half almosttwo months. His whole personality changed. It was heart breaking, worrying and scary to go through.

I will keep you and Spots in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted.

Keep him as quite and stress free as possible. You don't want to addany more stress than he is in right now. Keep in mind if it is aconcussion he is going to have one doozy of a headache. Make sure hecontinues to eat, drink, pee and poop normally.
