Spider Monkey on CL

So; there is a spider monkey for free on craigslist:

As you can see, it is living in horrible conditions.

Trying to help, I called about 7 wildlife rescues, Humane Society, AAWL, Arizona Game and Fish, Phoenix Zoo, and even the USDA.

No luck on any of them.

I finally contacted the KY Pirmate rescue (http://www.primaterescue.org/)

And they said they would look into it; but awhile ago there was another craigslist ad (not in AZ) that was a scam.

So..I tried. I hope it IS a scam and there is no poor monkey.

The wildlife center said it SHOULD be a prank..we will see.

I called the number and got no answer. Oh well. It was better to be safe.

Hope and pray it's fake. Big kudos for following up on it and everything.
Still, that picture came from somewhere and is absolutely disgusting. :X
