Hi guys, I am new to this forum... and

my first thread is about where can I get my female bunny to get spayed or neutered?

Does most of the animal hospital do it? if so, how much are they usually if anyone had experienced before?

Btw,I live in Santa Barbara,CA

Nice to meet you guys.

Not every vet will work with rabbits. They are considered an exotic animal. The best way to find out is to call your local vet and ask if they treat rabbits. If not, they can refer you to one that can. Welcome to the boards :)

I'm not too familiar with CA geography so I hope this isn't too far, but Rabbit Haven appeared to be a big rabbit rescue in the bay area. I think they would be a great resource for you about finding a vet to do your bunny spay/neuter. As mentioned above, rabbits are not like cats and dogs and should not be treated by a vet who is not specifically familiar with rabbit care. Anesthesia, pain meds and other treatment that are safe for cats and dogs can be deadly for a bunny so it's important to get a rabbit savvy vet to do the procedure.

Another site that has good info on vets: rabbit.org, the House Rabbit Society website!
