Gloria who is a 5yr old harlequin magpie has been spayed since I adopted her in Nov 2008. She is the only bun housed in the upstairs kitchen and lives alone.
My other 7 buns are all altered.

What could be causing this. :?

She has been running around with hay in her mouth ..moving all the hay from her litterbox to her cardboard box. She has pieces of cardboard and hay in the box.

She has been working all day barely stopping to eat her greens.
any ideas?

really?
or maybe Gloria is just bored as I have been busy the last few days and not paid as much attention to her.

I guess that she could be chilly
maybe i should give her a towel ?

This is really strange behavior;I have actually never seen a spayed bun do this .

Where I volunteer they had a spayed female that built a nest. It only happened once and was quite interesting. She would go around her cage collecting hay in her mouth and make a comfy nest in her litter box. I have a picture too.

I snapped it while she waited patiently for her litter box to be cleaned.
Even though her nest was destroyed, she just made another.
