I don't know what's got into Lint?? I caught her tiday taking all the straw fom the open part of her hutch into the enclosed compartment to build a nest. She even flung the grass nmat in for good measure.
There is hardly any bedding left that hasn't been shoved into the enclosed bit.
She has had a bit of contact (a few seconds) with a yound intact male but it's the onset of winter and she has been spaYED FOR ALMOST A YEAR. What does she think she is doing?

In my experience only if they pull fur are they making a 'nest'.

Otherwise its just a comfy place to relax and nap, aka a bed! :biggrin2:

They dont have to be breeders to want a comfy bed to rest in. :)

The odd thing is it is rather cold out now and she is sitting out in the part stripped off bedding:? What is she making a comfy place for if she doesn't bother using it? The only time i have seen does carrying straw in their mouth was when they were building a nest. Re-arranging their bedding for comfort is a first for me.

I have had non breeding bucks and does makes beds before.
Of course the bun isnt using it!! Thats what they do best!!! LOL
Its just to drive us humans crazy ya know. :)

When they dont use what they are building I call it playing!!! :bunnydance:
Rearrange the house then sit back and look at it!:biggrin2:

Or your bun knows some really cold weather is coming and its preparing!!

Who knows. Lint is usually my dopeiest bun and it would be something if she could foretell weather changes:)
