Sparky, My 7 month old pomeranian was laying on the ground one day. He wimperd and cried. This isn't his usuall self, when he sees me get over the baby gate (Hes confined to the dining room because hes not exactly trained) he usually goes nuts, jumping and tail wagging. But this one time he din't. He just sat there and looked at me. I went to pick him up and he Attacked my hand, Biting and all. Then he started yelping. I picked him up another way where he was unable to attack my fingers. He had some sort of .. Blister on his chin and above his mouth.
I Told my mom what I noticed and she said 'we'll wait a day or two and see if it clears' Well.. Fathers day. He wouldn't eat or drink. So we packed up his Blankie, a Teddy bear and a bag of treats bite sized and braught him to the Emergency vet.
They took us in almost right away because they were unsure if it was contageous or not. The technician came in. She sat.. tried to pick him up to look and once again..he attacked. SoI put him up on the table and she just looked at it. She then took his temprature.. He wasn't to happy about that..Aha.
Then the vet came into the room and took one look at him (litterally) and walked out. I glanced at my mom and we both started to laugh. She came back and said they could check it out more but they wouldhave to sedate him, because no staff member at that time had unbitten fingers. She grabed his leash and she DRAGGED him across the floor.
She came back 10 minutes later with him, Dragging him once again. By this time he was Sedated so there was no need to drag him. She gave us some pills and some liquid medacine, and also a cream. Howwe gothim toeat it, was another story.
About a week latere of this treatment we noticed it was getting worse. He braught him to his usual vet and they said that the liquid medacine wasn't strong enough and the dosage of the pill and way to much. Lovely. They asked to keep him overnight on a IV because he still had a hard time eating and drinking.
We went back the next day and I saw him in the little cage thing, he was sitting in the back corner. It was pretty dark so you couldn't see much and he was growling. I tried to hold in the laughs but it was pretty funny. They told us that where we went for the emegency vet was the worse place to go. Nice. They should of given him a cone (witch he got from him regular vet) and all.
Did i mention they had to shave his mouth?.
Hes just now starting to grow his chin/ uperlip hair back.
This is the story of how my dog has a very large XO or is it OX on his file. Haha.
