It's been really crazy here lately. I appreciate that Crystal handled the TODAY ON RO threads for me for a couple of days! My brain wasn't dealing well for the most part at night LOL!

My daughter had volleyball practice and a game this week I took her to both days...

I was dealing with something on here one night for like 4 hours.....

I had to work Friday which is unusual for me but I agreed to do it. Then it took longer than normal and I was short on time anyhow!

My son was considering going to Prom TONIGHT - he had found out like Wednesday that his friends wanted him to join up with them in the limo and hang out..... He finally decided not to..... THANK GOD! cause I was trying to fit in some time to go find him a tux! It took him all day to decide on THursday. Text messages are nice.... except when it's your kid trying to discuss something from school without getting caught.....

The farrier was at the barn and worked on the horses for like 5 hours.

The dog has been coughing and I had to take her to the vet. She had bloodwork and all but we realized she gets this every year at the same time and had the vet check and sure enough the dates are within 2 weeks every year! Allergies? I think so.....

We've been riding/lunging and working horses every day and hoping to take them to the show today.....

I had to run and get plates renewed for the trailer, and it didn't work on the computerized system so I had to go into the license branch.... Oh joy.

The horses are still furry - I have vacuumed them until I think my arm is falling off.

We have bathed them... fed all of them.... every day

One of my SIL's mares had a halter on when we closed up for the night on Wednesday. I didn't know and didn't check for that cause I never leave them on when they are in the stall - and our halters are very bright so we see them easily anyhow. This was a black rope halter on a dark brown and black horse..... So the halter got caught someplace and basically she flipped out and literally tore the stall down.... steel bars in a panel....... she got some bumps and bruises and some cuts but she's ok. It freaked all the others out. They were very easily spooked yesterday but Pokie was very good for me.

So today we started to go to the horse show but Dakota ..... oh what a long story. Kota had a puncture would almost 2 years ago on his hoof, we worked and worked to heal it and to get the crack out of the actual hoof wall..... it was only a scar now and was so much better - I was thrilled. The farrier is new and very good but he got distracted and put a nail right in the scar of the crack. It was like a long dimple in the hoof..... and it burst it open again. Now it's not through the wall but surface.... but we have to be careful with him. It could be a big issue.... I'll have to update that later. Hopefully it's something the farrier can apoxy and he'll be ok.

The trailer had a brake issue so hubby was fixing it and got the parts today so it was going to be late for us to get to the show..... then his work truck was going to pull it and I'd drive separate in my truck (I can't pull a trailer yet, my brakes are doing something weird so I didn't feel safe)... His hitch ball wouldn't work and we couldn't find another one to fit the trailer coupler. We were all ready and packed.... we didn't get to go. Trying to work on the hitch/hitch ball..... hubby did something and pulled out his back.......

This afternoon we (the kids and I)went to see about some boots for Lexi and got to the new store we've been wanting to check out..... and they closed in 7 minutes - we drove up there for nothing really......

I have a tooth bothering me.

I also have a boil or something on my ear that is KILLING me.....

I hadn't held Bo in like 3 days!!!

I need a vacation! :p
:pullhair:

LOL - not at you, but with you.. Was funny though.. I was going to say at least you have your health - well if you don't count the boil.. I feel very lazy compared to you, surprised you had a moment to post! Good for you for motivating me to go do my dishes -see, you've now done even more today and its appreciated...

Oh God my house!!! :shock::p

Yeah, I've got my health but the boil and tooth are not fun LOL!

Crazy isn't it? I think I'm going to bed now LOL!

Are you sure you have enough to do? :biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:

Sounds like you are run off your feet. I would suggest some good old fashioned black drawing salve for the ear. Goldine makes it in a tube and the pharmacist usually has it in the back. Good stuff that works.

Thanks! That's what I needed but I lanced it myself. :embarrassed:It hurt so bad I couldn't stand it.

Now, if we can get the ball hitch fixed for next weekend, and find Lexi some boots (she has wide feet), get Kota's hoof fixed if we can, and get through my son's birthday..... and more volleyball and working both my houses this week...... we might go to the show NEXT weekend!

I'm tired already!!!

Oh man...you have so much going on...I feel for you...

As for your ear, I just got over a boil being on mine (on the outside edge) as well...and yeah, OUCH! It's really interesting how badly that can hurt! Mine's still healing (it's at the stage where you have the peeling skin), but MAN it hurt BAD while I had it! Hope yours heals soon!

Hugs to you for all you're going through...

Wow - I'm just now seeing this - I thought I was the only one with that (only its whre I can't get to it).

I've had mine since Wednesday or Thursday...wonder if it is something that is going around...

California, Texas and Indiana..... that's weird we all have that going on!!!

Thanks for the well - wishes. We're ok right now LOL! I can actually think sort of straight!

I know that this is probably so normalto you guys and a lot of other people, but this had me absolutely dying with laughter!!!

:roflmao:

It was a laugh I very much needed today though, so thanks lol! :p

But yeah, sounds like you've been so busy! Poor you!

Pokie has really soft winter fur! I just love it!

The Farrier came out and fixed Dakota's hoof. I think he'll be fine eventually. He took the bad nail out, put a different one in a better place and trimmed up the crack. Then he filled it with apoxy and it looks good as new! YAY!

Then another horse in the barn has a UTI. She was straining and groaning so I've been going to feed her the sulfa tablets we got for her. She's already doing better.

Hubby is home with his back. I've been running him back and forth to the chiropractor. :?
