Hi it's me again and I need some help . I only just changed their pellets this morning and after breakfast I saw that some of them were already soggy. There's nothing wrong with the humidity level in my room because I've checked , and there's something else : green round stuff that I believe is poop but are of the same color as the pellets. Are they peeing in their food bowl? And what is that dark green round pellet look alike stuff ?
Thanks a lot in advance :)

How close to the food bowl is their water? Could they have hit or caused water to splash the food? Its also possible that it's urine, but it would smell if they pee'd on it.

Maybe you should use smaller bowls for the pellets. Or do you use the same bowl for both of them? Or is/are the bowl too close to their water bowl?

And as for the poop, what other color have your rabbit been producing? They SHOULD look dark green, like the pellets they eat.

The others are brown 0.o I think it's just my eyes, I'm slightly color blinded >.<

Oh their water is in a bottle so it should be their pee /: it smells >.<

What I was wondering was if one of them ate what SHE wanted, then messed it up for the other rabbit. I have only one rabbit, so don't know how much 2 compete for the food. I also give Honey her pellets in a thing called an egg-serciser that rolls along the floor when she pushes it & a pellet falls out, which she then eats immediately. They are made for cats & the size of the openings adjust.

That sounds good. Did you get it from a local pet store? I can't use my cats' old food dispenser cuz its too big for the cage :S

Mmmm - sounds like it could be pee in the pellet bowl then. But the stuff you believe is poop - does it look a bit like a bunch of grapes and have a bad smell? In which case it could be cecal poop.

Small Pet Select

Kat, I got it delivered from Amazon.com. The full name is FunKitty egg-serciser. Other similar products exist. This one not only has adjustable opening sizes, but the number of openings adjusts from 3 or 4 to 1. I started out having 4 open, but she got the pellets out too fast, so then I used 2, & finely only one. She pushes it with her head or front foot & can smell whether it contains any pellets or not. As soon as she's eaten them all, she has no interest in the ball. Because she's in an x-pen it's not hard for me to find it when it's time to give her more pellets. If she were free-range, it'd be very hard to find.

I use a slimcats treat ball, t does the same thing as Lake Condos egg thing :D I got mine from a local pet store. How old are your buns? After about 7 months, you can limit the pellets to 1/4 to 1/2 cup of pellets per 6lbs of bun, that might help some of your waste. :D

What kind of bowl are you using? I use a quick lock crock that is a plastic bowl that locks onto the side of the cage. A raised bowl might make it harder for them to pee in.

LakeCondo and OneTwoThree : hmmm I might drop by to the local pet store and check it out again this weekend, or else I'm prolly gonna order from Amazon.com too :) my buns have just turned 3 months today (9th Jan) and are still in the midst of litter box training which could probably explain the poop and pee in their bowl :/ I'll see if I can get online to post a photo of my cage later :)

Wow that sounds good too :/ I'm using a heavy wide based glass bowl which is big enough for them to squeeze and sit in @.@ I always push them out and they hop right back in ..

Just a heads up, bunnys can start mating around 3 months so you'll want to separate your boys and girls asap :D The girls ovulate with the action, they don't have a season or anything to look for.
