So one of my buns im not sure if its Oreo or Caramel my lionhead or both have soft stool we have been feeding them a bit of dandylion from the garden also have been feeding them a pellet mix from the store for baby bunnies (Sadly they didnt have alfalfa pellets that didnt have a mix in them)

Anyway how much should i be feeding them these they go nuts on this mix and ether dump the bowl or eat it up real quick so i have to fill it back up.

Would it be better if i just got alfalfa hay and just a timithy pellet instead of the mix?

Thanks!!:sickbunny:

How old are the buns? Most recommend free feeding until 7 months of age for smaller breeds.

I don't have experience with this issue in young buns. Hopefully someone more knowledgable will be along with some good advice. How recently did you start feeding dandelion? When starting a new food you want to do it very slowly with tiny amounts and watch for signs of GI upset including a change in the poo, teeth grinding and loss of appetite.

Usually rabbit food with other bits in it besides just pellets is something to avoid. Most often the bits are really not good for them and are there more for us humans as it makes the food look better to us. Your buns may be getting too much sugar in their diet. Can you pick out just the pellets to feed to your buns?

9 weeks old i think the dandylion could be it and probably the pellets? I thought the whole mixed pellets wasnt such a good idea but we got pushed into it from the pet store clerk. Sadly i couldnt find any other pellets that was alfalfa except that one sadly...ill have to look online. I will discontinue the dandylion thanks for the info!
