I moved this post to the main section for you.

What are some of the traits you will be wanting in a bunny? Do you have any preferences already?

In my opinion, the best way to find a rabbit that will suit you best isto work with a rescue agency or go to your local shelter. Youwill be able to see what the personality of the bunny is and mostshelters/rescues will spay/neuter as part of the adoption fee.

It depends on you. What do you want for arabbit? One with lop ears, one with straight ears, a big one,a little one, one with spots or pure black? It depends.

Basically all breeds have rabbits that will match thepersonality you want but you might have to look around more in somebreeds then others. Rexes can be known to be skittish, butI've had rexes that were mellow and docile. Flemish arethought of as big teddy bears but I've met some that bit people all thetime and hated to be held. It all depends on the rabbit asfar as temperment goes.

So I would recommend finding a breed that you like the looks of and thesize and then find breeders that raise that breed and get to knowindividual rabbits. Check out the link below to see pictures of all therecognized varieties. Most of them have different colorsavailable but it can give you an idea of what to look for. Then do a google search on the breeds that look good to you.Good luck.
