So I'm curious how many on RO turned their lights out between 8:00 - 9:00 pm last evening for Earth Hour?

I did it here and checked most out our neighbours also turned their lights off. I just had my TV on. I must say I'm not use to being in the dark I had a heck of a time making sure I didn't fall. Of course all my candles were in the basement good place for them. LOL

Susan:)

I did!! We had dinner in the dark with Neil's entire family.

I'll try to remember next year :( It's an awesome idea and I hope it catches on more extensively in the US.

All lights in the house were off except my bedroom, where I waited it out. I am scared to death of darkness...so it was the most I could do :p.

Ahhh. :(If I had known about it I would have done it! At least, in my bedroom ;) since I have a houseful of little children this week, so I'm not sure how long a light being off could last ;) lol.

Remind me next year and I'll for sure do it! :biggrin2:

Ooh yea, see. If I had a big house like yours (2 stories, etc. basement) I wouldn't turn my lights off I had a basement...for scary reasons unknown :plol. At least, I would of just shut myself up someplace with a light on, and had the others off ;) But dark, danky, basements... they're just not for me...Im scared of them...and the things that lay hidden inside...ok. i promise not to go into further scary detail!!!!!!!!! lol;)

It's interesting that many people in the US of A didn't know anything about it. I have a friend who was tallking with someone on Saturday and they didn't have a clue what she was talking about when she mentioned it.:? She lives in Kentucky.
