I'm happy to postthat I'm starting to create a bond with Pebbles! She now comes running to the side ofthe pen everytime I walk into the room wanting me to jump in so she can crawl all over me. She used to act aggresive everyime I came near her old cage (without the pen) and sometimes attack my hand if I went to pet her. Now with the extra room and more time spent with her she is as calm as ever, and is not 'fiesty aggresive' but more 'playful fiesty'.

With the extra space, it's really helped with her territorial issues. She still charges when she's happy to see you, and greets you by running into your hands at full force when you bend down to pet her (I've gotten used to it, but my mom still pulls her hands away thinking Pebbles is going to attack).

She used to be very nervous about hands touching her sensitive spotslike her back legs, belly, chest ect. and would grunt and attack, but now I've gotten her to stay put while I groom or just check out to make sure there's no knots, ect. She's pretty laid back now, and comes running up to see you. She used to not like tolay down for pets, but now I cansit next to her and pet her for as long as I want and she just sits there and enjoys it, rather then prancing off to go investigate something.

I'm so happy. She used to be quite hard to handle. Now I just need her used to being handled!

I could use tips! My bun isn't aggressive, but since she lost her partner or "substitute mommy" our relationship has become very strained. I'm working gradually towards repairing and building up our bond. It's a process, but I hope to someday be as close with her as I was with her partner.

Pebbles is quite the littlerascal,so I just sat in her pen for an hour or so, and if she'd come near me and be intrest in me, I'd start giving her little peices of apple. She still doesn't let me pet her if she's eating apple and will grunt and pick it up and move it, but she is improving. I can now put my hands around her belly to pick her up, but haven't lifted her off the ground.

Just spend some time sitting down with her, really helps.

:bunnydance:Yay for you and Pebbles!

I wish it was that simple with Zoey but I've spent hours with her and apparently she doesn't need me now that she has Mocha. Oh well, I guess Zoey will just be slower!

But I also had a similar experience with Spice. He was not that friendly but within a week of spending extra time with him, he practicallyturned into another rabbit.

Yay!!

It's so nice when buns go from aggressive to please to see you!

Wildfire was like that. She does the whole run and grunt straight into your hand... I have to tell everyone she's just happy to see you.

Pebbles should continue to improve with time, and it sounds like you are doing an awesome job!
