Ugh! It snowed again this morning! There is white fluffy stuff everywhere! *pouts* It's pretty and all, but it is just proving to me that it will be rediculously cold in a few weeks. Yeah...

Anyways, I took some pictures of the early morning prettiness! The first pictures were taken around 6:00 AM. I had to use a "night time landscape" setting, so they look a little odd. They picked up on the lighting from the street lamps. That is why they are orange-ish. The second one caught the reflection of the light shining off of the snowflakes.

To the right of my porch...

... and to the left.

Now, these are from an hour or so later (7:00 AM at the earliest/8:00 AM at the latest!)

Snow clung to the buckthorn branches...

A close-up shot of the snow-covered buckthorn berries. Notice that the leaves are still on!

A frosted tree and more buckthorn:

That is all I have for the Waukesha-Winter-Wonderland! It's a little below 40* Fahrenheit right now, but the snow is still here (10:00 AM) and it is still falling a little bit. Some of the snow fell off the branches (my birdies and squirrels knocked it off), but it is still pretty!

I am glad it didn't snow as much as I thought it was going to! It's annoying to have to dig your car out of the snow. My car is low as it is, so I have to dig it out almost every snow! Bleargh! It's starting to melt, though, so it's not going to stay long. There's only about an inch out there now. I like snow, don't get me wrong, but I hate the cold, the stupid drivers, and icy roads. It is pretty, though!

With this sudden blanket of snow, all the wild birdies have been flocking to my feeder all day. I have some pictures that I took of them in my "Bird Watching?" thread. http://rabbitsonline.net/view_topic.php?id=40917&forum_id=5

The last three pictures are beautiful;)

How much did you get ?

I know tonight were in for 15 cm's and blizard tomorrow with another 10.

:?

I was supposed to bring Sparky for a snowsuit fitting ( Lol, pants and all ) but it's going to be to cold for his paw. Darn snow.

I would say we got about an inch (2.54 cm :p) in most areas. Some places were thinner, others thicker... You know how it goes. I don't think it is going to snow for the rest of the week! lol

We have 12 inches of snow at the moment. It's icing over now and we're getting more snowtonight. The joys of the snow belt and lake effect snow.

Was this you're first snow.. ? I hope you threw you're first snowball of the season.
This wasn't our first snow, but it was the only one that has stuck, so far. The other ones melted away within 24 hours. I didn't go outside today, except for onto my porch (which is fenced off, and raised up from the ground) so I didn't get to throw anything... :p I threw sunflower seeds out to the birdies, though lol

we haven't had our first snow yet....which i'm kinda surprised. but it'll be coming soon i think since this morning it was 29 degrees out. maybe i'll have some pics to add to this thread too.

Good Enough lol.

Well.. theres about half a foot out already, just started snowing. I'll take some pictures if you dont mind me hi-jacking the thread. It's pretty much Sidewalk/Road leveled out. Someone could actually fall if they din't know the place.

We had our first snow of the year today (Grand Rapids), but where my dad lives, 3 hours north (Gaylord), they've already had 20 inches fall and about 9 inches on the ground...
Big difference for one state!

We got snow here too! I got up and was like "YAY!" and took some pictures! It was so pretty! I love it when it sticks to the branches of trees! :D
