Snip snip

I am going to see if I can tackle Rue to get a picture of his boy bits because I honestly don't know if they are fully descended or not. I have to push his fur back a bit to see them.

But if I can see them is it time for the snip? I really don't want to wait to long because I do not need a mean bunny on my hands and I have a sneaky feeling that he is gonna be a very nasty bun if I don't get him snipped soon enough(he has lots of attitude haha).

He is about 4 months now, will be 5 months Sept 5. Is it time? Or do I need to wait a bit longer?

It really depends on the vet. Most will be able to do a neuter once the testicles drop, but some might want to wait a bit longer due to size and making sure the rabbit is a good size and age for the surgery.

If you don't have a vet lined up yet, then start looking now. Ask questions and get him in for a check up. If all goes well, then you can ask the vet what they think and when they are comfortable doing the neuter. Depending on what the vet says, you can then book the neuter.

I'd wait a bit longer, at least until he is 5 months, but that is just me.

Well I finally was able to flip him and his testicles are obvious now. So I don't think I need to post a pic of his bits.

I am going to start calling and asking around. I have a list of questions to ask different vets to help me pick one. I don't get my first pay from my new job until the 16th and I would like to wait until the pay after that(bi weekly) just so I can use my first one to pay off bills.

My gut was telling me to wait so I am happy you confirmed that feeling for me. Ideally I would like to wait until he is 6 months just to be sure he is old enough and big enough.

Our vet said 4 months is alright to neuter. Pretty much if they show they can go is what I was told.
