OK, I'm not great with blogs...I have no problemwith message boards, but blogs are a relatively new concept to me. (I'mquite sure that I'm older than most you, so please bear with me. )
I guess I should start at the beginning where Snickers is concerned. OnSaturday, December 30, 2006, my roommate and I brought our new babybunny home from the pet store -- a 9-week-old Holland lop that we namedSnickers! I came up with that name while eating a Snickers candy bar atwork...I called my roommate to suggest it, and she loved it. So that'show Snickers got his name.
I knew as soon as the pet store ownerhanded that littlebundle of furto me that I'd be taking him home with mebecause, after he tried twice to jump out of my arms, he snuggled up tomy neck and let me cuddle him for several minutes. (He also scratchedme...those little baby bunny claws are sharp!) My roommate and I hadactually wanted another Netherland dwarf (we'd haddwarfspreviously), but this little guy just captured our hearts. The shopowner told us that Holland lops have a better temperament than dwarfs,so we decided to bring Snickers home.
We put him in his new cage as soon as we got home, and we spent therest of the day just watching him. He's more entertaining than justabout any TV show!
I had my moms sized up as suckers for a cute faceas soonas I saw them. I knew all I had to do waslet'emthemsnuggle me for a while, and I'd have a newhome...and I was right! -- Snickers
