Back in December, I snuck Kody (female 2yo Lionhead mix) into my bedroom. She's the only bun without a hutch. She only has a regular cage. So, I obviously wasnt going to leave her outside in the winter. I live in the New England region so you can only imagine.

My parents are having a mini BBQ this sunday. If my dad counts 3 bunnies in the backyard instead of 4, he'll know. So, tonight/morning (its 1:58 AM as i type this) is my only chance to put her back outside. Oddly enough and to add to the inconvenience, my mom goes to bed around 2-ish. Luckily im not tired.

But I still have to trek outside with Kody in the early morning darkness. I'm going to bring her out in the carrier and then bring out her cage separately. I have a narrow stairway and plus, Kody's a medium-sized bun and she tends to hop around in her cage whenever its being carried.

I'll be sad to put her outside but she prefers it and this way, I can set up her x-pen in a week or two. I'm still surprised I got away with hiding her in my room. :biggrin2:

Wish me luck!

Good luck :) Well done getting away with having her inside all this time :D

Hmm, I wonder if that'll work with my guinea pigs for the winter :p

I put her outside yesterday while my parents were at church. The weather was fine.

Right now it's snowing. ugh. Just when I thought the warm weather was close! I already went outside to stuff her cage with hay and I covered the cage with a blanket and a tarp. Whew!

hehehe this is pretty funny :) im surprised you got away with it, but it gives me hope I can hide animals from my BF! he never goes into this small room we have in the back of house... hmmm heheh :p

Haha, I am SO surprised that my parents never found out. I even bought a really small gravity water bottle for her so that no one could hear her when she drank! hehe

Although now, I'm left to clean up the bits of hay and poop that she kicked out of her cage. Oh well :)
