My approx. 12 week old lionhead boy has started having really smelly wees. My vet thinks he is a girl although I checked and think the breeder is right and he is a boy. I don't remember my rabbit girls ever heving such a strong smell. Could that be another sign that he is a boy and is sexually maturing (no signs of testicles yet though)
He sprayed all over David ( I told him that means he loves him. but he wasn't impressed:() I am hoping to get him neutered as soon as possible. Have to convince the vet though he is a boy

it probably is the normal strong smell of an intact male. If you notice anything else or suspect that he is having difficulty urinating or a change in appearance in urine he should visit the vet.

neuteruing a rabbit will eliminate this very strong pungent urine odor. ( but he's too young at the moment)
