My boyfriend just adopted a small, probably dwarf mix lionhead from our local rabbit rescue. Everything is fine, except this little bugger tears through everything we feed him! He is about 6-8 months old, weighs 4 lbs. His diet consists of 1/4 cup of Oxbow timothy pellets, a veggie plate every other day, and all the timothy hay he can eat. That sometimes means an entire block of compressed hay (has to be around 8-10 full handfuls.)
Are we under-feeding him? I'm thinking of switching him back to alfalfa pellets for at least a few months.
