4 month old Daisy seems to have some slightly sludgy urine. I've been feeding her Big Red pellets but now switching over to tim pellets. Anything else i should do? She seems fine otherwise. She does not get much greens because her cecals easily get excessive.

Can you define 'slight'y sludgy?' How thick is it? The urine is often white.

Big Red does have a higher calcium content, but most vets like young rabbits to have high protein and plenty of calcium, and 4 months is a pretty young rabbit. Vets will recommend that for rabbits up to a year, depending on the breed. Not sureswitching quite yet is a good idea, best to check with your vet.

If its just that her urine is white and a touch thick, it shouldn't be a worry. Its usually only a concern with mature or elderly rabbits.

Thanks. It's more a pea soup color with limited volume. But no signs of discomfort; i will not switch her totally to tim pellets at this time.
