Skylar had a kit die early this morning and when we woke up all of her bedding was to one side of the cage. Do you think she was looking for it? She also has three other ones. What are the chances that she will abandon the others?

I wouldnt think she will abondon teh others just keep an eye on her to be sure and help make yourself feel better sounds like maybe it escaped the nest or it wasn't right

She may have been trying to move herself or the other babies away from the dead kit. It shouldn't affect how she treats the others. She was probably trying to protect her other babies.
