Well I just got back from a skiing school trip this morning! I guess it seems to be the season for skiing holidays!

This was the people on our trip, not many of us!

There are loads of pictures on my Facebook albums, (and there are more that I've posted from other peoples profiles to my own profile if I'm friends with you on there, you can look from there.)

For my first time skiing, I'd say I did pretty well. By the 6th day we were going up to the huge big mountain and getting the hang of the parallel turns rather than just snowploughing all the way down. We were doing blue runs home as well. I swear this is the first holiday I've been on where I've come home feeling thinner and fitter!

I'm really upset now though. I love snow and this is the first holiday I've come back and been really upset. I have to go back there, and I've actually been thinking about how I am going to live in Switzerland and that I am going to have to take a gap year and go be a lift attendant or a chalet girl or something! Ah! Stupid England with its plants and grass and tarmac makes me depressed!!!!

SNOW!!!! Glorious snow! It sounds like you had loads of fun. Thats one thing I love about snowboarding, you come back feeling all trim and I never eat much when I'm boarding haha. Did you enjoy the lovely T-Bars? Darned uncomfortable things!

Looks like you had a wonderful time. I am pretty sure you are hooked now. Can't wait for the next time you can go skiing again. :D

Being in the mountains, with all the fresh air, it is sad tobe home.

Snowboarder! Noooooo! I hate snow boarders! The ones where we were were such... argh... I don't think I'm allowed to say what I want to on this family forum! I got cut up so many times by snowboarders, and they flick snow in your face, knock you over and then disappear! Plus they kept digging in the snow with the edges of their boards which meant if you caught it at the wrong angle you completely lost it!

The t-bars were not brilliant I have to say. One of the guys on the trip fell off so many times he had a little cry as he had to trudge all the way up the hill. At one point there were 3 people in a row who fell off in front of us, one of them was hooked on by his arm and dragging his bum all the way up there! We did get stuck, because my friend couldn't get it to sit under her bum and it was half way up her back, and somehow it got stuck in between my legs! Also, this german couple were standing completely in the way by the bit where you throw the t-bar up, and I was shouting MOVE! MOVE! But they didn't understand so I tried to fling it up in the air but it whacked her on the head instead. Another of my friends got her jacket caught in it and was slowly progressing towards a tiny 3 year old kid, who she managed to trip up and then squash because she couldn't unhook herself. My teacher got his hood stuck on the bar for the chairlift too and almost got dragged back down the slope!

Ah, that ramble turned out longer than I expected!
