Hi all
Greeting from jakarta

Since last week, my bunny named sunday, showed a sick sympthoms

He barely move, and lack of appetite.

I immediatly, brought him the the vet. But the vet cannot figure it out, she just gave me an antibiotic n infuse water to feed him.

Because i was not sure with her, at night, i brought him to another vet.
The doctor found out that he has gas in his tummy, but he also didnt do anything, just gave me an antibiotic n vitamin to feed him. Andthe next day, i heard his tummy grumbling.

So after 3 days of treatment, i brought him to another vet, because his poop still less and smaleer in size, and his tummy didnt stop grumbling. The vet said to continue the antibiotic, and she gave me tablet to consume. She also suggested to feed him with yakult- frementation milk known as probiotic.

Yesterday was his 3 days treatment after see the vet. So this morning i stop the antibiotic and gave his just the tablet, and vitamin. Bu i still heard his tummy grumbling and he stil doesnt want to eat. I already try dufferent hay. And i also found out that he has a greenish pee this korning. I dont know where else to seek help bacause in indonesia it's so rare to find a good vet that know about rabbit.

I want to treat him with gi statis medicine because i read some sympthoms that similar with his. But i still cannot find anything about greenish pee. Thank you.

I'm sorry you are having so many problems.

First, even though the antibiotic perhaps was not a good idea, I'm pretty sure you should continue giving it. If you don't & there really was a bacterial infection, stopping the medicine will make it worse.

I have not heard of green urine before, but my guess it is because of the medicine & I would just concentrate on other things.

There are several ways you can treat for gas/gi stasis. First is to use the gas treatment that is used for babies. The ingredient's name is simethicone. In the US it comes in a bottle with a rubber dropper to put in the food or water.
You also should feed pieces of raw pineapple. Some people think you should add a small amount of vegetable oil to it.

Also, gently rub his stomach to loosen the gas.

Yogurt is not the best kind of probiotics to give a rabbit. There are probiotics available in the US that do not contain milk. However, they might not be available in Indonesia.

I hope that this helps.
