I got a lionhead bunny bout 3 weeks ago and he is the sweetest thing but he squats down when I pet him or if he is out of his cage and running around he doesnt want me to touch him and keeps running away from me. Ive tried laying down on the floor and letting him come to me. Im not sure what else to do. He really doesnt like me picking him up, he kicks his legs out. Does anyone else have this problem or know of anything to I could do.

Well first when your petting him its normal for him to "go flat". When he gets really low on the ground during a petting he is happy. He wants you to pet his bowed head so you know he is the boss. Lol totally true. When your laying on the floor try holding a treat in your hand and when he starts to get closer use his name. Eventually he will come when he is called. Most buns don't like being picked up so that's normal too.

It just takes time. When you pick him up you need to take his back legs in your other hand [but don't press them together] so he can't kick them out. Or did you mean his front legs?
