Ok, so his breeder told me he had to be over 4lbs and his ears 21 inches..ok. He is all of 8 1/2 inches ears(He was born 11/20)

Do they really have to be that large for such a young rabbit?
If so, I am pretty angry. I paid EXTRA for him because she told me he would be a show bunny..and now its a different story.

If he was born 11/20 - he's still pretty young to show and I would think his ears would grow a lot more in the next couple of months (although I don't have experience with e lops).

I don't think I'd even think of showing him until April...and even so - you may need to wait till he's older.

I hope an e-lop breeder sees this and responds.

Are you measuring the full span of "both" ears (tip of one to the tip of the other)? The head itself also adds inches.

I only measured the ear..lol...with a ruler (Its all I had)

Please someone tell thats why and I can still show him!

How do you measure a EL ears?

OH WAIT. Do you mean the combination of BOTH ears?

Omg..

Well, still, his ears don't look as large as from that website.

You can go to my bunny blog and find photos. :/

Hold both ears out like airplane wings and measure the entire way across from tip to tip at the longest point.

Never measure single ears - measure the entire span of "both" ears straight across over the head.

I have a feeling you'll be able to get enough length out of those ears if you stretch them a little.
