Since the subject of indoor rabbit-proofing pops up now and then, I thought it would be helpful to have ideas all in one spot. What have you done to deal with a problem area in your home?

If you have pictures, all the better! Show how you block off access to any of those places you don't want your indoor bunny to go.

Our place is pretty small, so we had it easy.
I'll start with some of our ideas.

One thing I've implemented in my kitchen that I haven't seen other members mention much (if they have, I forgot I saw it here, oops) is 12" square ceramic tiles. I got them for $1 each and lean them against areas I want to divert interest from, and gaps I don't want Monty to squeeze into (like between the stove and the heating element, and next to her cage so she can't chew/scratch the wall or baseboard if it gets pushed close to the wall). I'll take some pics soon...

^^That sounds like a good idea. Pics would be great.

That reminded me that I forgot the other side of my TV cabinet.

I put that board to prevent access behind cabinet and cage. But I held it in place by squeezing an old tape roll behind it. Here's the pic of that board from above and looking down...

Our bunny room(one of the bedrooms) has no carpet--replaced with tile and used tile in lieuw of baseboard too. At our other place, before we moved, I used ! inch pvc cut in half and screwed to the wall to protect wires and lots of cardboard boxes to barricade the back of chairs and couches and walmart baby gates to block stairs and doors.

I just yesterday (Sunday) bunny proofed my bedroom. I did not want them going under my bed so I linked 16 NIC pannels together. I then put them around the outside peremiter of my bed frame and zip tied it in 2 places to my bed. It seems to be working. I also did the vinyl tube thing for one of my cords. Finally to cover up the rest of the cords (~10 that run 3 of my aquariums) I blocked off a section of my room with a piece of cardboard and a NIC panel. Other than those few things I just cleaned up my room a bit.

The rabbit is out in half the bedroom every day so it's usually clean and all clear.
The dresser used to be in his half and we used NIC cubes around the bottom. Now the only thing we need to block is our internet cable because our wireless thingy fried and our computer area. I use cardboard and NIC cubes.
I have some crappy pictures of it.

Cardboard moved to show where the cord is and then actual set up. The food bin usually sits in front so he doesn't pull the grid/cardboard away from the wall.

Misery, that looks like it works well.

Just a few minutes ago, I caught my Mocha trying to scale over the board in the photo just above your post. --that's a first! If he got over that he'd be stuck because it's so narrow. (but he'd have tons of cords to chew:lookaround)

I had to find a taller board and put it there. It doesn't look so nice, but with bunnies...:rollseyes
