I have a neutered male bunny called Buckley, i have been bonding him with my 4 month old female bunny(not neutered). They spend at least 6 hours together everyday in separate runs but they can smell and lick each other through the bars.
They are getting along so well between the bars and they are constantly lying next to each other and grooming each others noses.

And i am really wanting to start putting them together in the same room (without the bars of their runs) as they seem to be getting on so well. And Bella is not getting neutered for another 2-3 months. Do you think it'll be best to wait until she is neutered or will it be ok to do it now? Thanks :)

Well in my mind as long as the one is neutered it is fine. I know the girl might be getting into heat soon.. I don't know how the male will respond. I would wait till some members from this site comment. If you were to let them visit without the bars I would watch them, just so nothing happens.

From what I have heard the best scenario for bonding is with two fixed buns so for best results the female should be spayed too.

Things may be fine now but at 4 months she might not quite have all her hormones and she could get grumpy later on.

A fixed bunny (whether male or female) makes an all around better pet. :)
