My bunny is very fluffy and his hair is very fine and light. It will stay suspended in the air by itself. I brush him but he still sheds like crazy. Is there any other way I could collect the hair?

I use a furminator, the smaller size one for cats. I have heard people warning other people not to use them and saying they are even dangerous but I have Jersey Woolies and Netherland dwarfs and use one everyday and it works really well. I used to use a lot of other tools but now I use the furminator mostly. It is really important to get rid of loose fur because its one of the things that can cause blockages.

Here is a video of someone using a furminator, only use the furminator to get loose fur out- don't use it on matts at all it could leave a bald spot or tear the skin. If there is a matt its best to clip it out with ball tip grooming scissors very carefully. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZQnIjYUz1w[/ame]

Baron just went through his Fall molt in late August. It wasn't too bad, since he is a Rex and has short hair than these rabbits. Molt lasted about 2 to 3 weeks.

I just used a fine tooth comb on him after a warm water bath in the sink. I think I found half of him inside my computer fans when I cleaned it out this month. Be sure to check your PC for rabbit fur after the molt is done. Otherwise you will burn up the CPU and PSU before long.

There is another tool called the hair buster comb that is supposed to be very good as well. I think the House Rabbit society sells them. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL-sWs-qd8w[/ame]

This video is better than the last video I posted because it discusses 4 different tools and says where to buy the tools. There is another tool called the hairbuster comb that is supposed to be very good as well. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Phvk1ObuZCI[/ame]
