My sissy girl is due to have her kits on Thursday! Yay! Anyways, I put her nest box in her cage and filled with shredded paper. But when I checked her this morning she took all the paper out of her box an put it beside. Should I put it back in the box? I hope she isn't planning on kindling outside eat nest box.

Lol! It sounds like she is trying. Can you put more nestboxes in? Maybe have two in there. I would put the stuff back in and hope she will have them inside. Is she outdoors?

I've had does make beautiful nests right NEXT to the nestbox. Try putting everything back inside then placing the nestbox (or two if there's room) right where she was trying to make it. Good thing that she's inside a heated garage :)

If I don't get out there right away if she had them beside, they will be okay right? I will be out here periodically today and through the night tonight to check on them. I just get concerned that they won't survive. But I guess if she has all her materials outside the box they will be okay. I moved all the paper back in and she hasn't brought it back out yet. Hasn't done anything with the straw yet either.

I can tell she definitely has more than one kit. Yay!! I was holding her yesterday and wow! Kicking all over her stomach, on both sides too. Can't wait until tomorrow.

You might try spreading straw all around the cage floor just in case. I've done this before with does that I'm not 100% sure with and, if they do have them outside of the nestbox, they will hopefully have a bit of straw to cover up with.

Depending on your temperatures they might be fine. I suggest you start setting an alarm at night and head out there to check every 3 hours or so. :)

Yes I have my phone set to go off every few hours. They hve straw on the bottom of their cage already. The temp is set to 20 degrees Celsius so I hope that is warm enough and not too warm!
