She just failed litter training 101

I put Whisper in her new cage today and gave hera nice big box to dig in and tear up paper. Well, she is treating itlike her litterbox, and her litter box is on the other side.

Should I move the litter box to where the other box is and clean out the box? Or should I let her use the big box?

the same thing happened with me....i boughtfreddy a fleecy bed that kinda looked like an igloo and for the firsttwo weeks he slept in it and loved it and then just start going to thebathroom in it. i washed it several times hoping hed stop but he didntso i just took it out. the good thing is that there was never anyconfusion afterward as per him using his actual litterbox. ihave a similar box like that for him but its not in his cage and themost he does in there is drop a few poops. so maybe if you only put itout during play time that would solve your problem? goodluck!

I think freddys mom hit it on thehead. Take out the other box and put it in only duringplaytime for a couple weeks so that she gets used to going in the otherbox. Moving her litter box into the corner that she normallygoes in would help too.

Ditto to what freddysmom suggested...I thinkthat's what I would do too. But...congrats that your bunny IS using alitterbox for that purpose! LOL...I was attempting to train Raph to usethe litterbox, and...well....he does. He pees and poops in it, then helies down and sleeps in it. Yuck! Silly rabbit...:bunnydance:
