Well, like I have mentioned in my previous post, Bubbles is building her nest!! BUT OUTSIDE of the nest box!! Is this okay? Shoudl I be moving her nest into the next box when she is done? Shoudl I leave it where it is until she is dont kindling then move it? Or just not touch it at all and leave her kits where she has them??

I would carefully move the nest. My rabbit actually built hr nest outside the box AND gave birth to the babies in that nest! Since they were warm and safe, we let them stay there until they were bigger and needed the nestbox. Good luck!

You could move the nest into the nest box, but some mothers will just move it right back again. If the weather is good I would wait until she has the babies and then move them and the nest into the nestbox. She will find them. I would groom some of your other rabbits and save the fur. That way you have extra to line the nest with. Even if you are carfull you will loose a lot of the fur that the doe has pulled. I always kept a baggie of fur for when I would have a doe that would not pull enough or if I had to move the nest.

I shold have kept the fur from last time! She pulled SO much last time, but only had one kit and it didnt make it.. this time.. she had four and pulled barely any fur at all!! I moved all the babies into the nest box and moved some of the stuff she used. I couldnt move the whole thng without wrecking it anyways. So, we will see what happens. She saw that they were in there. Another thing that bothered me, is that she had them right where she sleeps at night.. so I didnt want to just leave them there.. with the chance that she may sleep on them..

Make sure that they're nice and warm and plump to the touch. Those are the KEY things when looking at healthy babies. You need to make sure they are nice and warm, even just brushing your rabbit to see if more fur comes out to use... Good luck and i hope the little ones do well!!
