So my bun, Petunia, was lunging at me andcrying, although its gotten better so I think she was just really upsetfrom being moved from being in a new house & not seeing me for awhile.
This morning when I got her out of the cage and brought her to myliving room to watch some TV with me, I thought she sctached me (itwasn't very hard) but it turned out to be a bite. Then a couple minuteslater, she bit my arm again. She didn't break the skin, I was holdingher like normal, and she didn't seem upset.
Was she just tasting, or giving me a love bite, or telling me to not stop petting her, or what?

could have been all of the above :)i've seen others say their buns nibble or scratch to say 'hey! dontstop the pets'.. my mr licks tends to do that when he's had enoughlol.. 'alright mom..no more love!' or if i'm in hisway to where he wants to get to :)

What breed isPetunia , how old , if she isin the dwarf family shecould be coming into her teenyears ( oh the fun ofthat ) ,. I had an 11 week oldkit go ballistic doing the samething at 11 weeks old , ( Dutch ) .little booger even drew blood, thankfully she has beenrehomed and her new owners willbe spaying her as soon as sheis old enough .

My baby Vicky, nips when she wants you to payattention to her. She'll nudge you and then nip ... and with Freddy, ifhe givin kisses and decides its his time to be petted hell give a firmnip for me to know its his turn!

Try screeching ouch or eek! Not really loud, inin a high, suprised voice. Mocha nipped and dug at my shirt forattention once. I did that and she didn't do it again. I think I sawthat suggestion on http://www.rabbit.org/

She might not realize that she's hurting you. You just need to let herknow that she is, and hopefully that will stop her. Or she'll stop whenshe's spayed and older.

That is definitely what she's doing...I don't think she knows it hurts. Thanks for the advise!
