Anyone have DirecTV? I guess Viacom is fighting with DirecTV and they took away like 26 channels.....several of which my son watches. Dora, Diegio, Bubble Guppies........

Have they ANY idea what this has done to moms across the country


Hahaha, okay not a world shattering event of course but had to vent for a sec.....we are missing some of the channels here.....

cable here is pretty good and I learned to hate the satellite companies years ago. Had a problem with the setup and called them more than 40 times. When they finally sent out a tech that knew what he was doing, he told us it was an old box that had been recalled 3 years ago and should have been replaced. When I called them, they wanted $168 for a new box--after all the problems we'd had--tried to change channels in the middle of a show to something we never had watched or would just go blank and take 4 to 8 hours to reload-so I told them I didn't need them anymore and then they wanted to send the box next day air! Free! Too late, too bad, so sad.

Our only options out here where I live are DirecTV and Dish. :rollseyes But I don't really watch much TV, so I haven't even noticed a change...

I have Xfinity, awesomeness all the way! I'd be lost with out Batman ONDEMAND lol.

i prob wont ever pay for cable or satelite...i have my 9 city channels. news and kids channel, and a couple others i watch. I am happy with that. But we have netflix also, and a lot of the kids shows my daughter likes is on there, plus i get to watch an episode or 2 while kids nap of a tv series. On Lost now. Rather pay 8$ than 50$ no one needs 100 channels.

I have Netflix too. I could careless if we had cable or not, I think the only person in my household that would suffer is my husband, he's like addicted to tv or something!

I will shamelessly admit I'm a "tv" person. I have certain shows I'm addicted too. Most are mindless, dumb reality shows but I can't help myself! Haha I like movies too.

Anyway, my son hasn't even asked about his shows. It's me that has noticed! Lol he doesn't watch aLOT of tv but hen does get to watchh a couple shows in the afternoon for quiet time and that allows me my sanity to get a couple things done.

I guess being a stay at home mom the tv is my sanity somedays. Especially during the winter when we are trapped inside. They better have it fixed by then! Hahahaha
