Thanks Katie, was about to post here; was waiting to see if she came home before night-time before scaring overseas people; but it's night-time now, and nothing. :( She's only been outside twice before(last time was last night) so she must've thought it was ok to hop out the open door. Unfortunately, one gate has to be blocked up a certain way if rabbits are out, and no one bothers if they aren't; and the other was open because my brother was doing yard work. I'm pretty certain that if she were close by, she'd have come back to play with Reuben(I put him outside as bait). It is past her dinner time now. :(

She's usually pretty cautious, and doesn't go anywhere until she's checked it out. Yesterday she wasn't even interested in looking past the gates, she seemed happy to stay inside the garden/patio area. She wouldn't have gone far on her own, something must have scared her. Maybe one of the dogs barking, or a cat. I just want her baaaack.

Oh no! I'm so sorry Nermal's run off! When one of my rabbits ran off, se was on our property the whole time, under our porch, hiding in bushes, etc. we left food out for her each day, and eventually found her. Is it possible that Nermal is still on your property? Again, so sorry she's lost, and I hope you find her!!

Oh no Ariana I hate hearing this! :( sending all the positive thoughts your way. I bet this is so hard I'd be a wreck. Hang in there!!

Oh no! I would recommend scouring the neighbourhood, asking permission to go in people's backyards and searching under decks, under cars, in bushes, etc. She's probably hiding, especially if she's timid. Whenever we go out to catch a released domestic, under cars seems to be the most common place they hide.

I would also be physically going around and knocking on doors to ask if anyone's found a rabbit. A lot of people find them and assume they've been dumped, so they may not even look for the owner. If you haven't yet, contact your local shelters and give a description.

Hopefully you find her :(

I did all you guys are suggesting; didn't even wait for permission to trapeze over people's lawns if they weren't home! She could easily have still been on our property, but our property is fairly big, and...wild. We also back right onto the bush. I also had flyers all ready to print.

But, I found her. Guess where. INSIDE THE BED. With an epic nest. Yes, she stayed there all day yesterday, and came out during the night for food and water. I thought it was a dream when I woke up and she wasn't there, again. Still didn't come when I rattled the pellets. I looked under the bed, nothing. Careful look. Small bump hanging down over there...I poke it. She doesn't move. That can't be her. Poke again. Yep, that's her. Finally get her out. She's now trying to figure out how to get back under again(I blocked it off 'properly'.) It's sister's bed, and she doesn't want her in there. I think this is a losing battle, already.

I feel silly, but oh so relieved! :happyrabbit:

Feel free to laugh at me. :biggrin2:

My thoughts exactly! Was already gonna book her spay this week(soon as I can sort out how to GET her to the vet) and now I think it will be a very good thing! Are females usually this obsessive while nesting??

Oh gosh she was home the whole time? Haha. That is awesome!! I'm so glad she is okay!

She was! Burrowed in the bed base; I'm still laughing. It's so good to have her *back* though. :D

...not that she's pleased I've blocked off under the bed. Are females usually this persistent in nesting??
