My brother doesn't like any of my rabbits inside but i always have one rabbit in the living room. My brother makes me put the cage on the front porch during the day, but i am worried that someone will see the rabbit and steal it. Should I really be worried and how can I get my brother to let me keep it inside?

Whose house is it? How old is your brother? Why is he telling you what to do with your rabbits?

Can you not keep your bunnies in your bedroom or even in your basement if your that worried about them?

Susan:?

Have you talked with your parents about this? Perhaps they can tell your brother to be quiet, and let you keep them inside. Why is your basement not safe for rabbits? Just curious.

my mom agrees with him. when my dad is home he agrees with me. the basement is not finished and my brother and dad paint moel cars down there and i don't want them to breath paint fuems

I think cold weather will be more of an issue soon than theft, but you could always fasten the cage to the porch with a locking chain. And why doesn't the cage fit in your bedroom? Could you box up things you don't use much & store them in the basement, so there's room for the cage in your room?

the cage doesn't fit in my room because my bed takes up all the space in my room. I am not worried about them stealing the cage but i am worried that they will steal or hurt my rabbit because i have heard of people shooting someones horse just because they can see it.

Can you put something up to block the view? Try to make it so it doesn't stand out. Turn the cage so it does not face the sidewalk or road. You may want to cover the cage as much as you can so there is less access for people to reach into the cage. Put some locks on the doors, they don't have to be really good ones, just enough so that people can't open the door and can't get the lock off easily. Try to fasten the top of the cage to the bottom so they can't just lift it off.
Do you have a back porch you can put the cage? Depending on where you live, this could keep your rabbit from being seem other than by neighbours and even that you can block off.

As far as convincing your brother and mom, you need to talk with them. The big issue I would bring up is that it is getting colder (not sure what it is like where you are). While rabbits can do well in the cold, they don't do well moving back and forth all the time. You can't really have a rabbit outside during the day and inside at night. The coat they would grow the keep warm outside will make them too warm inside. You will need to do this in a way that will keep him inside rather than outside.

Could you find a way to make a pen to keep him in your room? If you can bunny proof your room, he should be able to be more free range and only in the cage for short periods. You could then get away with a smaller cage for just the litter box, food and water dishes and just have enough space to move around.

Yeah that^^

My rabbit was sick so I brought her in in the middle of January. THat made everything *wayyy* worse because of the temp change.
