So nice to be...

NOT AT WORK!!:p

I've got bunches of things to do around the house today.
I got an early start, so as to beat the traffic.
Dropped Danielle off at the mall...she works today.
Then I went to the petstore to pick up cubes and pellets. They had some REEEEEALY cute bunnies, including one tiny lil one that look like Brindle when she was a baby:D. The two Marshall buns were still there..:(

Well Jim when you posted this thread i was probably still asleep

My Saturday, your Friday lol...i had a pretty quiet day today,it's been very hot here the last few days..already ,and it's just spring..they say that were probably heading for a long hot summer..and at the moment that is not good news for us aussies, what with this terrible drought going on here..we even have restrictions on our water..but...

It's sometimes hard to comprehend that we've got different days, times, seasons, etc. :?
It always reminds me of the M*A*S*H episodes where Radar is trying to explain to someone what time it is "back home".:?:?

Hehe guess what i'm watching now (as if anyone cares anyway:p)...but i'm watching The wizard of oz,gosh i haven't watched that moviefor such a long time now

I just heard the scarecrow say..they(flyingmonkeys) pulled my legs of and threw them over there lol

I LOVE THE WIZARD OF OZ !!!!

I've watched it 3 times in the last couple of weeks :biggrin2:

On my list for today:

  • Clean rabbit pens (I now have 3 in the garage to bond and they are messy, messy, messy!)
  • Bonding session with Mia and Reese. I'm letting Aero grow/mature a little to hopefully lessen his mounting before I try to add him.
  • Clean my room (isn't it funny that I can't stand my bunnies' cages being messy but my room doesn't matter?)
  • Start a mountain of homework/studying for finals
  • Mocha and Reese go to the vet this Thursday for a check up so I should probably set up the kennels just so they are all ready.
  • Order some special treats for Reesie so I can get her to eat hay!
  • Clip bunny nails and weigh them alland then groom Mia
  • If I have time, run to the store and get some litter. :XI haven't been able to find a store that sells wood stove pellets, ARG.
  • Maybe go pick up a cage so I can move Aero out of the makeshift one.
  • Wash bunny laundry -- poor Reesie can't walk on the choroplast so she has a bunch of blankets.
  • And lastly, vacuum my car because Mia got hair everywhere when I brought her home last week.

I'm so happy to have a weekend free of work!:bunnydance: (Well...nearly.;)But I can do my English language coursework in a couple of hours tomorrow.:p)

I spent this morning with Smokey who was full of beans!:shock:Some owners were clipping their horses right near his stablewhich got him all wound up, he nearly dragged my arms off while we were having a canter around the gallops.:shock:I managed to calm him down though and we jumped a few of the logs which was fun.:D

Then I have been shopping this afternoon with a friend (so many presents to buy!), had my hair cut, and I'm off to a party this evening.:D

I do love Saturdays!:pinkbouce:

We spent the evening at the barn last night with the farrier (he finally got over here! been a weird week!)

Today I've not done a lot. Taking a little break and now I am doing laundry, loved on my Bo bunner for a bit, and I need to go return a movie we just watched - Ratatouille!

Cute movie btw.

I need to go to Tractor supply and get bag balm for Bo's widdle feets. He doesn't seem better but no worse. My poor baby :(

Then it will be time to cook dinner I'm sure. *sigh*

I'm sort of down today - not sure what all is causing it, but I definitely just want to crawl back in bed and stay there.

Just brought the bunnies in from their outside run. It was sunny earlier but the clouds have rolled in. The temp is 33* F (1*C) but no snow, so I am getting the most out of this nice weather. We still have lots of birds around.

MBB: I was at Home Hardware checking up on their wood pellets, and they didn't have any in yet. They told me to check again next week.
G&E Pharmacy haswood pellets (cat litter) but they are expensive.
If you want I could give you one of my Woody Pet Pellets.

I'm not desperate for litter, but I just thought I'd get some so that it didn't get to a point where I suddenly realised I have no litter left, lol. But I now have 4 litter pans plus 3 trays with it in so it's starting to go a little faster than it did before! I'll wait and see if it starts popping on shelves locally before I make a trip in to G&E.

P.S.- I took your recommendation about Dr. Pam Goble, Mocha and Reese are going to see her Thursday. :D

Dr. Goble is very nice. She does spend the time to answer all your questions. You can ask her for for the medical records of the visit too, as she will type up a copy for you. Is it for an annual check-up?

I switched to another Vet (South SideAnimal Hospital) because Dr. Goble was not available when Pebbles was sneezing. I didn't want to see adifferent Doctor every time I broughtPebbles in.

How is your Hay holding out? Both my bunnies love your hay, but they won't touch the G&E Alberta Hay. I had to stock up on Martins Less Active Pellets too, because G&E would run out of stock once in a while.
I ask if G&E could bring in Oxbow products, but they said they weren't willing to ship it in from the U.S. :sigh:

Are you having trouble getting Oxbow? I still order it from the vets no problem. :?The one in my town will order it for me and the vet that spayed/neutered all my guys orders it for me too but he's in Fort Saskatchewan.

My hay is going good, I'm not sure how much I'll go through with 5 bunnies this year. I'm glad I got 5 bales this year!

It's not really the annual check up it's just that since I am leaving in January and after losing Spice, I really want to be cautious and seeing as how Reese and Mocha are both 'old', I figured it would be a good idea before I go. Reese hasn't been herself since I lost Spice either, I haven't seen her binky in a month, she spends all her time in the box. She's eating fine but I just worry about her. On top of that, when I got Reese checked in February, the vet told me her teeth were slightly over grown and would need to be trimmed but she would be ok for a few months, well Reese still hasn't shown any problemsso I want to make sure her teeth are okay before I leave.

None of the Vets will bring Oxbow here. My only option is to get it from Calgary, but Martins Pellets is doing fine for Pebbles and Bebe. It's just the Hay that I am worried about as I am about to run out.

Poor Reese, she must miss Spice. When she stayed at our place, she would always chase after Spice and snuggleunder him. Hopefully she will find comfort with Mia.

I'd call the Stony Plain Veterinary Clinic, that's where I get mine from! They order it for non-clients too. I've only gone a few times and they still order it for me.

I could give you some hay if you were to come out this way, I'm sure I can spare a little.

Stony Plain is closer than Calgary. :D

That would be great if I can get some hay from you again. I could swap you a bag of Woody Pet for a bag of Hay.

AWESOME photo PB!!

You're close to Stony Plain MBB? I used to live in Spruce Grove, my family was there for years. :)

And I've just stuck with Martins, even for Pipp. She hated Oxbow, and she doesn't geta lot of pellets, anyway. Maybe if I had a veggie shortage I'd go back to Oxbow (seeing as the little... sweetheart :lipsrsealed:... won't eat hay, and needs the fibre), but the organic veggie store down the street is supplying a TON of stuff -- sometimes intentionally, but just as often when I fish the fresh stuff out of the bin in back of the store). ;)

Anybody visit withLuvabun? (She's delightful if you haven't had the pleasure).:wiggle

Oh my gosh..i couldn't watch it that many times that close together....but i do know that when i do watch it...it just brings back so many good childhood memories :)

And that tv showMASH,i hated that show when i was a kid....we had to watch what my dad wanted..and he liked Mash...ugh,so i would just go and play in my room.

I still don't really like the show..but at the momentit's on tv here, and i will ocassionally sit down and watch it :?

Oh boy.. mybunnies are hating this heat!!

Well it's my sunday evening here,so it must be something like your saturday late morning early afternoon..don't know i could be way of,but anyway everyone have a good morning,afternoon,evening..whatever :D

Haven't talked to LuvaBun yet, but definitely going to have to do that!

Pipp, I'm in Stony Plain. Spruce and Stony have grown so much that there is only one field separating them now, lol.

I was going to use Martins, but the only place I canfind them at seems to be irregular as to when they actually have it which could be a problem. Plus the price of gas just isn't worth it for me. On top of that, Mocha has never been in such great condition and before I had a few diet problems with him. I tried them on Kaytee but Mocha even had problems on that so I've given up and decided to stick with Oxbow. And I've never seen rabbits get so excited over food in my life, I can't feed them fast enough so Oxbow it is for me.

Luvabun can PM me if she wants to get hold of me. I am sure she is very busy looking for a place to stay, and a very big decision on choosing her future residence. There will be plenty of time when she can bunnynap Pebbles and Bebe when she gets everything settled. :D

MBB: Home Hardware (148- 112 Ave) got a pallet of wood pellets in this morning. 4o lbs. of Dragon Mountain pellets costs $4.99
