Goooood Morning !!!!

I slept in...for a change. Still on my first cup of coffee.:caffeine

Hazy, hot and humid today.

It's a holiday weekend. Traffic around here will be bad. All of the stores are having big sales....and we live in the Mall Hub of the area.

I've got to get out and run some errands before it gets too bad.
I need to get hay cubes, otherwise I'd consider sticking closer to home. I should really look into buying them from Oxbow.
Anybody here use them?

What's everybodyelse doing this weekend?
Anything special going on?

Hope everyone has a good day!!

~ `Jim

Morning folks! Today I'm moving Oberon in with Fey. I'll be around all day just in case they fight, but I really don't think there will be a problem.

Good Morning All, I'm getting ready for the Big Turkey Dinner on Monday. So Ihave to clean the house (hay every where).

JimD what holiday do you guys have this weekend? It's our Thanksgiving here.

I've used the Oxbow Hay cakes, I did not like them as much as the Kaytee ones (actually neither did the bunnies). They are very small and i found alot of wastage as the fell apart.

It's Columbus Day in the USA:USA:....the day Christopher Columbus landed in America.

And HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU in Canada:Canada small:!!!!

"History and Origin of Canadian Thanksgiving

In Canada Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday in October. Unlike the American tradition of remembering Pilgrims and settling in the New World, Canadians give thanks for a successful harvest. The harvest season falls earlier in Canada compared to the United States due to the simple fact that Canada is further north.
The history of Thanksgiving in Canada goes back to an English explorer, Martin Frobisher, who had been trying to find a northern passage to the Orient. He did not succeed but he did establish a settlement in Northern America. In the year 1578, he held a formal ceremony, in what is now called Newfoundland, to give thanks for surviving the long journey. This is considered the first Canadian Thanksgiving. Other settlers arrived and continued these ceremonies. He was later knighted and had an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean in northern Canada named after him - Frobisher Bay."

I didn't even realize it was a holiday. Most people don't get off work for Columbus Day unless they work for the government. Me, I say the Native Americans discovered America first, you know? Even the Vikings made it to this continent earlier. Columbus thought he found a better route to India!:foreheadsmack:

Good afternoon! I have been busy today! First, I got Bo out and let him play and poo! (yay!) and then I worked on some things in the house while he was doing that.

Heidi got her nails trimmed and then she got to play. She's becoming quite a little BRAT! She tries to escape and snorts LOL!

While she was out - I got Cloverbunny. She was not happy. There is NO TOUCHING DA CWOVABUNNY! :shameLexi managed to trim her front feet while I held them and her - we have to cover her head with a light blanket.

I managed to get her back feet with Lexi holding her head while I held her LOL!

I also got a lot and I mean A LOT! of loose hair off of her. I know she feels better. Then I gave her kisses..... oh..... NOT GOOD! she hates that! and gave me EVIL BUNNY FACE! :X

So I kissed her again LOL!

I let her back in her cage since she was pretty stressed and gave her a papaya pellet which she gladly took. She took a HUGE bath - starting with where I kissed her LOL!

Of course then I had to clean up from them, talk to my mother, and I am now sitting on my butt fr a few minutes!

Happy long weekend to all! :USAflagwaving: :Canada small:

Hope everyone have a safe weekend and all the bunnies don't need to see a vet over the holiday.

Going out for supper tonight with the inlaws.
Tomorrow we will go to my brothers house for turkey. Yum yum.

Lucky you Jim, getting to sleep in. I have to work everyday. But I get to see the wild rabbits outside when I leave in the morning for work.

Good Afternoon everyone, had to be at work at 9am got off at 1pm and I am off til monday. But work called to see if I could come in tomorrow and I turned it down cause I need my vacation now. lol I worked 5 days straight pushing carts, bagging groceries, and working on the cash register, don't cha think I need a day off or two.

YUM Thanksgiving dinner! It's so hot here, tho, it doesn't even sound good in a way.

I'm happy you all have the weekend to relax. I am trying to catch up on some stuff so I don't think I'll get much relaxing done!
