As some know I use to breed. I hardly ever tell about myself on here, I honestly have not felt very welcome, however if all goes right I will update here now and then. Things have had a 360 degree turn since I joined this forum, stopped breeding, moved, lost my beloved guys Blizzard, Dae and Rae as well as many other things. I now havesix rabbits, all female, three living inside and three living outside. If I could I wouldhave them all inside but I know how it is and the cleaning would make it impossible to have any time with any of my babies, pluswe have no room fortwo cages large enough that I find fit. What with thethirty odd fish, two hamsters, three cats and three rabbits in my room I barely have room to walk and have no storage at all at the moment.
On to the point of the blog, my bunnies. Now, seeing as Mousse, Candy and Kristi are inside you will probably hear about them more. Not that I love them more but I am around them more.
The past month has been wild. I have been trying to bond everyone to another bun. Mousse and Candy lived together before we moved and did great however once we got here it went out the window and Candy got mean so I seperated them. I ended up finding Kristi on craiges list, the lady was in such a rush to sell her and her sire that she was willing to drive to my house, at that time gas was more for her to drive here thanI payed for Kristi. She was very shy but after one day shewas so much crazier than Mousse and that was hard to believe. She is Mousse x2minus Mousse's hating of being handled.
Kristi and Candy hit it off right away! I had Candy outfor play time (let out in the house) and Kristi got looseand it was likethey had knew each other Kristi's whole life. How in the world it has happened is behond me. You would think two does both with such dominate personallities would kill each other. Candy would hump Kristi gentally then Kristi would Candy and then they would cuddle and groom each other. I wonder if they are you know... lesbian bunny lovers? So they lived in a double cage home, very small. Almost everyday I let them both andMoussey out together. Everyone got a long and now live together. Had no problems besides Moussey loosing her litter box training. Seems no one uses the boxes anymore *grumbles*
They live in a cozy 2' by 5' closet, three litter boxes, funky fleece floor, wire "door" toys and wood "cave". They get time out almost everyday however lately it has been to hecktic, I have barely been home at all. It makes me a little sad too as they love to terrorize the cats *evil laugh*
Becca lives alone in a HUGE 3' by 3' hutch. She is quite like Candy however it seems since Candy is bonded she is worse than her. She hates other rabbits. She was bonded to Blizzard for some months before he passed. When he died a little bit of her died with him. I have tried her with other buns resulting in huge fights. She is a lover bunny, very loving of people. She was raised inside and was very bonded with my friend Kate however times where getting hard and Kate thought it was best I took her. I hope she is not disapointed
Almond is Moussey's mother, she also came from Kate. Almond's partner is Keegan. Both Almond and Keegan are the type of rabbits you think they will never get along with another rabbit. Much to my shock they bonded on their own. Living side by side, me not knowing Keegan was small enough to fit through the wire, Keegan had been visiting Almond for quite a while I believe before I found them together. Now they are together almost 24/7, only time Keegan leaves Almond is to go through the wire to the cage closest to the house when I step outside.
I have to go now, the "Carrot Cave" is a mess. Once it is cleaned I will take pictures and hopefully get them edited and up tonight.
