My MIL gave me some sticks she pruned off their cherry tree while cropping it back. I thought I read somewhere that wood from 'pit' trees was NOT good for bunns. I can't find the reference now and 4 of the sites I checked on don't have a listing for cherry trees! Can someone help me out here?? And also...Is Curly Willow OK for bunns to chew? Is it different than regular Willow???

Thanx

Thanx Naturstee...they have listed cherry leaves as safe but not the twigs! Better to be safe than sorry! I'll keep an eye out and see if I can track down any apple twigs instead!:)

Taken from the HRS website:

"Untreated wood, twigs and logs that have been aged for at least 3 months. Apple tree branches can be eaten fresh off the tree. Stay away from: cherry, peach, apricot, plum and redwood, which are all poisonous."

Thanx MBB I think that was the one I remember seeing originally!:) When I went back to find it I had read so many other sites in the meantime I couldn't remember where I had last seen it!;)
