Sacred Cat of Burma Fanciers has their big show this weekend, 08/25 and 08/26,at the Community Center of the Medina County Fairgrounds, Medina, Ohio.

If you like cats, stop and visit the show. The focus is Birmans and Maine Coon Cats but there are plenty of otherl breeds. There are many vendors selling everything you need and want for your cat.

Our shelter will have its table in the entry hall, as usual. We are selling a varietyof handmade cat beds, quilted cat mats and magnetic ribbons to raise money for the shelter. http://www.stayawhilecatshelter.org

Dude that was my birfday. I didn't see the post. I've never been to a cat show and I odn't think I really wnt to go to one but Medina isn't that far from me. I go to rabbit shows there in November.

I wish you could have been there! Show cats don't act at all like house cats. They are docile and well behaved.... I prefer my 'mutt' cats. It was quiet show this year. There weren't as many vendors. Apparently one of the really big and well-liked vendors was killed in a car crash on the way to another show.

There were some beautiful Devon and Cornish Rex this. Usually there are a lot of Maine Coon cats but 2 of the biggest Maine Coon breeders have been having problems with their MS and don' travel.

Our shelter made about $1,000 which pretty good for selling beds and getting donations. There are only 2 of us who make things for the show and both of us have full time jobs. I wish more people could sew and craft.

The beds I made out of the 'heavy construction' fabric sold out. I wonder why?



The Sacred Cat of Burma Fanciers are a wonderful group of people. I love this show because our shelter is treated so well and so many of the breeders help with cash donations and food/litter donations.

Yep, the guy in the shorts is my favorite. I made a shower curtain for one of my friends using this fabric. Last year I had 'wranglers' and sold a lot cat beds in this fabric. I just found some 1/2 naked cops and firefighter fabric from the Fabric Shack www.fabricshack.com Gotta get sewing.

I've got a friend who is a big time quilter. Must send her pics of this fabric. Talk about the ultimate quilt to snuggle up to! :biggrin2:

These dudes soooo aren't my type.

You realize men with rock hard muscles aren't very fun to ''snuggle'' with. It's like cuddling with a log. Perhaps a large pile of slag.

I like my men like I like my rabbits; squishy, big feet, and intelligent enough so that if they act up, I jsut throw a blanket over his head and he gives up.
