Hello all. I have a 20'x50' garden area in my backyard that I was thinking of raising some rabbits in. For a variety of reasons I would prefer a small unobtrusive pen on the ground that I can move around the yard giving the rabbits direct access to the grass, clover and dandelions etc. I would still supplement feed.

I've read that I shouldn't put them on the same ground twice in a year to avoid problems with worms... this seems pretty limiting for anything other than a raised wire cage or a several acre yard. Does anyone have a generally accepted time that grass can be exposed to the sun and elements to kill off the parasites?

I've never heard of that. I don't see how the sun and elements can kill parasites...cold and treatment of the yard can, but that can also be harmful to your rabbits. You may need to consider a prevention program of worming your rabbits if they'll be on the ground all the time. Don't forget about fleas, too.
