I'm leaving tonight to go to my parents' house for the night. Tomorrow we're going to Universal Studios for the day and then coming home late tomorrow night or early on Sunday, depending on whether we decide to crash on the way back at my parents' house again.

I'm going to be away from the forum for ONE WHOLE DAY! :nerves1

Seriously, for the past hour or so I've been refreshing like a mad woman so I don't miss a THING up until the moment I have to walk out the door.

I'll miss you all.

Have a great Saturday!

hehe

(...you know you're addicted when...)

I am considering 'fasting' the Internet for Lent. We'll see.

seniorcats,:bowYou are a VERY strong woman! I could NEVER last 4 weeks without the internet. :nerves1

Have a swell time Elf Mommy, relax and enjoy! :)cry1:don't worry about us... we'll get along fine...:tears2: really... it's OK..... honest!.... :()

OK, well THAT trip fell apart!

We got to my parents' house only to find out my nephews BOTH had fevers. In addition to that, our bank account was lower than we thought it was...

So... we didn't go. It devastated our two kids, but one of them had a stomach ache all day today anyway, and everyone in our household is recovering from colds, as well...so...it was probably all for the best anyway.

Another time.

In the mean time, we had a great day with my parents. I got to see the new baby cow and take some photos. We played dominoes and Pictionary with the kids. We did some origami all together. We made tic-tac-toe boards out of Sculpey Dough (I, of course, made a BUN-TAC-TOE...which I'm considering putting up for a Photo Phile Contest Winner prize in one of the coming months--stay tuned for photos).

My dad taught me an awesome way to make cabbage. He cooked hamburgers on an old grill with genuine wood-made charcoal that tasted divine.

All in all, I still enjoyed myself. The kids were disappointed, though, and I feel guilty about it. We'll reschedule it for when our health and pocketbooks are in a bit better shape.

Oh dear :( I'm sorry but ya know...... sick kids would have not had fun.

Lexi is sick and the doc said he had his first official case of the flu this year.... yesterday!

Anyhow, I'm glad you guys found things to have fun doing and salvaged part of the trip!

 Missed you!

I had to go with out the internet for the whole day as I was at the Rabbit Show today. :biggrin2:

Someone brought a Flemish Giant to the show just for me to see. :bunnydance: It was a 7 month old baby, but it was not for sale.
