As far as I'm concerned to get a good quality rex you should breed two rex to begin with, If you mix it with something else your more then likely not gonna get that velvet fur you may get lucky to get 1 or 2 with it but they more then likely wouldn't have the right body shape.

I would just get a pair of rexes. I wouldn't be mixing rabbits, unless you're doing it for something like the ARBA.

Like the above poster said you may not get the rex fur by mixing. You get crappy rex fur with good rexes.... it just wouldn't be worth it mixing it.

Thanks, guys.

So if you bred one Rex rabbit to one non-Rex rabbit, you'dget all regular-furred rabbits. Unless the non-Rex rabbit was actually carrying the Rex gene. Then you'd getsome Rex-furred and some not. Correct?

Oh, and I'm not breeding, nor have any intentions of breeding. I'm just interested in rabbit genetics (but find all the websites that talk about itjust a littleconfusing!).

Thanks for the help!
