This is my 7 month old REW Mini Rex buck that got BOSV at a show last week. Could y'all tell me what you think about him and which picture he looks best in?

He's not posed very correctly in any of the pictures. His front toes should line up under his eyes.

The last 3 pictures are close, but still need some improvement. From what I can tell, he lacks depth, his ears don't balance out his body, and he's long in the shoulders. I like his topline, though. :)

Did you enter him in the show yourself? The judge should have made a couple of comments about his type.
New to MR, really fascinating breed

I'd say he's pretty darn nice! Nice head, depth, very good topline and shoulders, what looks to be a full loin and a nice HQ. He looks best in the last two photos.

I agree with emily as in his ears dont balance with the rest of his body. how long are they? He's really nice other than that as far as topline. Idk about head or fur

If you plan on breeding him i would recommend breeding to a shorter eared doe and/or shoot for winter babies.

I don't think that his ears are too long, but he does need more depth. My opinion is that if when you bend their ears over the top, or side of their heads, and their ears touch their nose, then their ears are too long. I went out and measured them, though along with his head.
His ears are less than 3 inches, the length of his head is 4 inches and the width of his head is 4 inches.

Based on just seeing the side profile photos, I think he looks nice. Back view and top view photos would be nice. What comments did the judge make on the coat?

I think that his coat is his best strong point. I missed most of the comments from the first judge, but the second really liked his coat and so did the breeders that I showed him to after the show. He has great length, texture and good density. It is a bit uneven at the moment, because he was getting over a moult, but he sheds really slowly and the only sign that he shows of shedding is a bit of unevenness. The doe that I am breeding him to complements him well, though. She has great depth and width and her coat is really dense.
